About Julia
Julia Paddison (she/her) has been a dedicated yoga student for over fifteen years and has been teaching yoga since 2012. She has trained with dozens of world renowned yoga experts to expand her yoga knowledge through the study of asana, meditation, and philosophy. She has personally experienced and professionally witnessed the profound ways the practice of yoga can change a person's body and mind and is committed to providing students with an ideal environment to discover the beauty and power of their own practice and their own yoga.
Julia's personal practice of Ashtanga Yoga heavily influences her teaching style so you will find her classes to be thoughtfully sequenced with a strong focus on breath and alignment. She is passionate about creating a more inclusive and equitable world and believes the practice of yoga is a powerful tool that can bring people together. Certifications, Experience, and Education
Julia completed a 200-hour Vinyasa Yoga Teacher Training in 2012 under the leadership of Lisa Mitchell and Rachel Hoppenstein. Additional noteworthy trainings include: 40-hour Ashtanga Yoga Teacher Training in 2016 with David Swenson; 32-hour Yin Yoga Teacher Training in 2017 with Corina Benner; 18-hour Meditation Teacher Training in 2018 with Allison Sobel; and 15-hour Prenatal Yoga Teacher Training in 2020 with Randi Coen Gilbert.
Continuing education workshops, immersions, and private lessons which have been highly influential to Julia's teaching include experiences with Meghan Kirk, Caroline Holt-Casey, Cicelee Chappelle, Lindsay Lusignea, Eddie Stern, Kino MacGregor, David Garrigues, Laruga Glaser, Kat Fowler, and David Robson.
Julia has taught yoga for more than ten years, has over 5,000 hours of yoga teaching experience, and has taught thousands of students. She has experience teaching group classes, private lessons, workshops, and immersions, has co-facilitated teacher trainings, and has led yoga retreats all over the world.
Julia is a licensed social worker. She has a bachelor's degree from Saint Joseph's University and a master's degree from Bryn Mawr College.
